The Fuertes Telescope Mount
Inside the dome. At the center is a tower mount, on top of which is the 12" refractor, main telesope. The tower also houses the tracking mechanism necessary to keep the telescope pointed at a fixed location on the sky. The dial on the right face of the tower shows the relative right ascension (RA) direction of the telescope. The wheel below it coarsely rotates the telescope along RA coordinates. The door at the right of the picture is to the observation deck.
