Eanna Flanagan will talk about two 50 year old papers: 

S. Weinberg, “Infrared photons and gravitons,” Phys. Rev. 140, B516 (1965)

and H. Bondi, M. G. J. van der Burg, A. W. K. Metzner, “Gravitational waves in general relativity VII. Waves from isolated axisymmetric systems”, Proc. Roy. Soc. Lond. A 269, 21 (1962) 

and also a modern paper which shows that the two 50 year old papers are closely related: "BMS Supertranslations and Weinberg’s Soft Graviton Theorem" Temple He, Vyacheslav Lysov, Prahar Mitra and Andrew Strominger, 

Will Throwe will talk about 

SDSS J013127.34-032100.1: a candidate blazar with a 11 billion solar mass black hole at z=5.18
