Research Facilities
Cornell operates this facility near Arecibo, Puerto Rico year round. Arecibo
site contains is the world's largest radio telescope.
Located on Palomar Mountain in California, Cornell operates the gigantic
200-inch Hale Telescope on a quarter-time basis, sharing the scope with
Caltech.
The Spacecraft Imaging Facility is located on the third floor of the Space Sciences
building on the Cornell Campus, provides the image processing and archival facilities
needed for maintaining and cataloging the visual data collected by the US Space
Program. The facility is open to the public and encourages group tours.
