My snapshot of the
Very Large Array. This isn't the whole thing, by any means. The VLA
has 27 antennas, plus 1 so that one antenna is always "in the shop" or
rather in the "Barn", which is a big ol' antenna-sized building. In
the VLA's largest configuration, each of the its three arms are 10 kilometers
long.

I snagged out the window of a MOVING U.S. GOVERNMENT VAN on the
way back to Socorro, NM.
Leslie claims that this is the best snapshot she has ever taken.
