Dear Britt,
Like you said, Nagataka wasn't making a lot of friends. Also, he
wasn't an Elder. Also, what makes you think the people you mentioned are
really the only ones who know what happened? Maybe there's someone else,
just waiting to blackmail Dairmaid, when Dairmaid is in a position to
help, but doesn't want to. It's so much easier to think of these ideas
when I'm not the player. I don't know why. Who is Morgan? What makes
you think it's really Oberon, instead of another son of Dworkin's, who's
been playing possum out in Chaos long enough to have really bought into
the mind set? Poor Caine. Gerard turned out to have some abilities he
didn't know about! Why the heck did he think that Gerard had eaten
Corwin's brain, instead of coming up with shapeshifting or just plain
sorcery himself? Was he just trying to see if Dairmaid had figured it
out? If so, then he wasn't half as surprised as he acted, but that's
Caine all over. And maybe Caine is thinking about match making for
Dairmaid. That's a FASCINATING idea. If so, who's the real intended,
since Caine would never stick Dairmaid in the room with the real one as a
first move. Or would he?
Interesting to know who the fake Benedict was. But you haven't
really told me what the real one is up to. Could it be that the family
just doesn't know? And that is a loud hint - please, don't write shorter
letters. I like the long ones.
