Dear Britt,
Jason's Oberon does have a tendency to irritate his female
relatives. I wonder if Titania is around anywhere? She really didn't
care for Oberon's playing around, let alone his high handed,
authoritarian style. Last I remember, she may have had somewhat better
connections in Chaos than Oberon did, too, and Chiara certainly did, but
that was 2000 years ago, more or less. While Dairmaid is training
Nerene, why doesn't he consider ways of getting Deirdre out of there,
too? I think a stag house, except for Dori, who sounds remarkably
stupid, is about right. I can think of some really nasty things to do to
Oberon in the way of children. Trouble is, I'm not sure whether Jason
would allow you to get away with them, and even if he would, it would
likely be as hard on them as on Oberon (almost).
Yes, Whelan is Benedict's twin. How's he doing? Chiara thought
he was almost as cool as Benedict, except for his propensity for side
stepping issues with Oberon. He sure did make nice toys, though. And
how's her darling twin brother doing? Lucian had as much trouble with
Oberon as Chiara did, because he was a mage instead of a warrior.
What's with Flora, anyway - just generally more aggressive, or
even more different from the books than that? Does she has as much of a
thing for men as she did in the books? A female like that, who wanted to
play power games, could be a real problem for everybody, including
Oberon. And have you heard anything about the Chaos Lord Corwin kills by
trickery in the books during the Pattern Fall War? He was way cool
before.
As to the Truename trumps, Llewella or Lucian would be the one to
bring those things back. What's this about Oberon altering the kids?
This has something to do with trumps not having the properties of the
Truename trumps? Since bloody when? Is he taking credit for that, or
did that rather peculiar piece of information come from somewhere else?
And in regards to improving bloodlines in Chaos, maybe they
should all incorporate unicorns into their houses.
