Dear Britt,
Chiara would generally agree with Dairmaid on the subject of
wearing house colors to cut purses, but not in the case of Jesby. That's
about what she would expect from that lot, unless they were up to
something less savory.
If Dairmaid doesn't want a soggy shoulder, all he has to do is
start acting more like Corwin. That will take care of it.
All things considered, I would be extremely careful around
Lazarus in the future. Kendrai being what Kendrai apparently are, I
would be looking out for booby traps in said person's psyche, regardless
of which family member cleaned him up.
Considering that Shadows are Shadows of Amber, and considering
the general behavior of Amberites, is anyone really surprised that the
Golden Circle gets a bit flaky once in a while? Now, if you want to get
the Golden Circle people to behave honorably and all that, I suggest you
begin with Oberon. Get him straightened out, then work on the rest of
the family.
As for Caine apologizing, I was under the impression that he
would do whatever was useful. Of course, he might decide to take that
apology out of Rain's or someone else's hide later.
If Dori is furnishing a nursery in a way that is causing
Amberites to react to the expense, she must be incredibly good at
spending money.
