Plan for A1946 Run - Aug-Sep 2004 (Draft) ___________________________________________ 1) Day 1 - 19 Aug, AST 2:45-04:15 pm - General tests of data taking system - Finalize calibration cycle to be used fo run; minimize overhead - Familiarize with HDR params; request urgent mods if any - Modification to SDFITS-to-IDL conversion procedures, if any needed - test impact of 1330 MHz rfi on edge of 100 MHz band/aliasing 2) Through full run: slots LST 00:15-02:45 (early am) 25 slots Drift maps of region near 27deg Dec, 100 MHz, 3-level sampling, cover 1330 to 1430 MHz (perhaps 1332-1432?) - Drift unit length: 600sec, 1 sec records - Start on Dec_day1; second day on Dec_day2+1.05'; third day on Dec_day1+15' 2-pass coverage with strips separated by 1.05', 8x7 strips per degree Cover 2deg in 2-pass mode (16 day slots) - Cover 0.5deg to 6-pass mode (8 additional day slots), strip spacing ~20" 3) Day time slots (20, in the mid-pm) - test daytime observing conditions with 50, 100 MHz bands . Bandpass subtraction } . Standing wave impact } 6 passes on same strip, in 50 & 100 MHz .
