OVERVIEW

A 4000 level course in theoretical and observational cosmology for physical science and engineering majors. The course would be offered as part of major, and a concentration, in astronomy. It will focus on providing the key physics concepts underpinning cosmology, in the context of recent research and developments in the field. The course will cover both practical issues of astronomical observations and relevant theoretical topics in physics.
